Privacy Policy — Humble Flights

Humble Flights does not collect any data about you.

This policy covers the Humble Flights app for iPhone and iPad. It is separate from the general Humble Media privacy policy because Humble Flights collects less than our other apps: nothing at all.

No account

There is no sign-up, no account and no login. There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no tracking.

Your flight log and photos

Everything you add (your flights, notes, seats, prices, photos and boarding passes) is stored on your device. Humble Media cannot see any of it.

If you use iCloud, your log and photos sync through your own iCloud account, under Apple’s privacy policy. They are not stored on any server of ours.

Looking up flight details

To fill in details such as landing times, the app asks our server for public flight data. Each request contains an airline, a flight number and a date, and for some airlines the departure and arrival airports. A request can also be for a route and a date.

Requests carry no name, account, device identifier or anything else about you. Our server only reads public data: it writes nothing down and keeps no logs of requests. It runs on Cloudflare, which, like any network provider, handles your connection and sees your IP address in order to deliver the answer, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Your calendar

If you choose to bring in flights from your calendar, iOS asks your permission first. The app reads your events on your device to find flights. Your calendar never leaves your device. Only the flights you choose to add are kept; nothing else from an event is stored.

Your camera and boarding passes

The camera is used only to read boarding-pass barcodes and booking screens, on your device. Pictures of booking screens are read and not kept unless you add them to a flight. The passenger name on a boarding pass is never stored.

Files and sharing

Photos and files you pick are read on your device. The share extension only passes files you choose to the app. A CSV export or share image goes only where you send it. Links in the app, such as this page, open in your browser or mail app.

Purchases

Humble Flights is free to use, with one optional in-app purchase, Humble Flights Plus. Your purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Deleting your data

Deleting a flight removes it and its photos. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device. Data in your iCloud account can be removed in iCloud settings.

Children

The app collects nothing from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

We might update this policy. We’ll always be transparent about any changes.
