Privacy Policy — Humble Video

Humble Video does not collect any data.

This policy covers the Humble Video app for iPhone and iPad specifically. It is separate from the general Humble Media privacy policy because Humble Video collects less than our other apps: it collects nothing at all.

No account

There is no sign-up, no account and no login. You open the app and make a slideshow.

No network requests of our own

The app sends nothing to Humble Media or anyone else. There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no remote configuration. Your videos are made on your device; nothing is uploaded to be processed. The only network traffic is Apple’s: the App Store when you buy or restore Humble Video Plus.

Your photos

Humble Video uses Apple’s photo picker, so the app only ever receives the photos you choose. It never sees the rest of your library and doesn’t ask for access to it.

The photos you pick are copied into the app’s own storage on your device, at a size suited to video. Only the date each photo was taken is kept, to name and sort your slideshow; location and camera details are left behind. Deleting a slideshow deletes its copies.

Your music

The bundled tracks are part of the app. If you choose a song file from Files, a copy is kept with that slideshow on your device, so it keeps working if you move the original.

Saving to Photos

When a video is finished, Humble Video saves it to your photo library. iOS asks your permission the first time, and the app asks only to add to your library, not to read it. If you say no, you can still share the video.

Where your slideshows are stored

Your slideshows (the photos, music and settings for each one) are stored on your device. They are not synced to any server of ours. If your iPhone or iPad backs up to iCloud or to your computer, that backup includes them, under Apple’s privacy policy. Humble Media cannot see them.

Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your device. Videos you saved to Photos stay in your photo library.

What leaves your device

Nothing, unless you send it. A finished video goes only where you choose to share it. Links in the app’s About page open in Safari.

Purchases

Humble Video is free to use, with one optional in-app purchase, Humble Video Plus. Your purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Children

The app collects nothing from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

We might update this policy. We’ll always be transparent about any changes.
